THE 9th INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON EMERGING CHALLENGES: BUSINESS TRANSFORMATION AND CIRCULAR ECONOMY

Hanoi University of Science and Technology – School of Economics and Management, University of Economics and Business - Vietnam National University, Hanoi, National Economics University – Faculty of Business and Management, The University of Danang – University of Economics, University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam National University – International School, Foreign Trade University, University of Hertfordshire (UK), AVSE Global (France) and PPM School of Management (Indonesia) will organize the 9th International Conference on Emerging Challenges: Business Transformation and Circular Economy (ICECH2021) in Hanoi, Vietnam (online sessions available for international participants), on November 5-6, 2021. We would like to invite you to be a part of the ICECH2021 and submit your research papers for presentation consideration.
The aim of ICECH2021 is to provide a forum for academics and professionals to share research findings, experiences and knowledge for growth and sustainability in Asia-Pacific. We welcome the submissions in Economics, Business, Innovation Management, and Business Law.
Authors of accepted papers will be invited to present their work at the Conference. In addition, authors of best papers will also be invited to submit their papers to a special issue or a regular issue for publication consideration in selected journals. These papers will also be under an official double-blind peer-reviewed process by the journal.

Professor Mickey HOWARD
Prof Mickey Howard is Professor of Supply Chain Management at the University of Exeter Business School. He started at Exeter in 2009 and served for 6 years as Director of Research for the management department. As a participant in numerous research grants, Mickey has published over 150 research papers exploring the procurement of complex performance, buyer-supplier relationships, collaborative technologies, sustainable supply chain management and circular economy implementation. He is a regular speaker at UK government events and international conferences such as BAM, IPSERA, EUROMA & Academy of Management. He is co-author of the award winning textbook ‘Purchasing & Supply Chain Management: A Sustainability Perspective’ (2014, 2018) Routledge UK, and edited book ‘Procuring Complex Performance’ (2011) Routledge New York, recently translated into Chinese. He has supervised 6 PhD students to completion.
His research spans the implementation of sustainable business systems and transition to the circular economy from an operations & supply chain perspective. His most recent work explores waste identification and value recapture as part of an EPSRC ‘Modelling supply chain optimisation in the food and beverages industry’ project which helps SMEs in south-west England work towards the circular economy. Over the past decade he has developed several systems based mapping tools to minimise materials, water, energy & carbon related waste and maximise circular maturity. He advocates a circular business advantage approach which enables closer collaboration with external partners, helping both business and local authorities shape regional economic policy towards long-term resiliency. Mickey has over 25 years’ experience of working with large corporations in the global automotive, IT systems and defence sectors exploring supply chain strategy, customer order fulfilment and procurement of complex performance.
He has published in a wide range of Business & Management academic journals, including Omega: International Journal of Management Science, Journal of Strategic Information Systems, British Journal of Management, Industrial Marketing Management, International Journal of Operations & Production Management, Supply Chain Management: An International Journal, Journal of Cleaner Production, International Journal of Production Research and Journal of Purchasing & Supply Management.

Professor Cameron TRUONG
Cameron is a Professor in the Department of Accounting at Monash University. Prior to joining Monash University in 2009, Cameron held positions at the University of Auckland and Citibank (Investment and Corporate Banking Division). Cameron was the Coordinator of the Honours Program in the Department of Accounting and Finance, Monash University over the period 2011-2013.
Cameron has published in journals such as Journal of Accounting Research, The Accounting Review, The Review of Accounting Studies, Auditing: a Journal of Practice and Theory, Journal of Financial Markets, Journal of Banking and Finance, etc. Cameron has won several Best Paper Awards at leading international accounting and finance conferences and several competitive research grants (AFAANZ and ACFS research grants).
Teaching experience includes Advanced Quantitative Research Methods (PhD Program), Advanced Modeling in Finance (Honours Program), Integrated Accounting (MPA), Accounting and Finance (MBA Program), Investment and Portfolio Analysis, Risk Management, Corporate Finance and Equity Markets.
Cameron has consulted to the Q Group and a number of hedge funds on quantitative trading strategies and empirical finance research and is a member of the American Finance Association (AFA), American Accounting Association (AAA), Accounting and Finance Association of Australia and New Zealand (AFAANZ), and SAS User Group.
